About this deal

By far, Casio’s most popular digital model is the F-91W. At this point, it’s a modern classic. You see this watch all over the place, so it’s not surprising that Casio sells millions of units each year. The F-84W is especially great for smaller wrists. Unlike many other digital watches, it doesn’t look bulky at all.

I have a Casio F-28W. Mine is in fairly good shape, but the resin strap crumbled apart years ago, hence the NATO strap. I did the same with the F-84W since I know that strap would suffer the same fate at some point. The lower left button, labelled "Mode", cycles the modes of the watch: time display, alarm, stopwatch, and time/date adjustment. As you’d expect, the F-84W is incredibly small and thin even for a digital watch. This thing seems to be tailor-made for small-wristed wearers. Compared to the F-91W, the F-84w is smaller, thinner, and lighter. The display is roughly the same size, but the body of the watch itself is smaller than the F-91W. Casio F84W on my 6.3″ wrist For starters, I really like how functional this watch is. Every feature is practical, and there’s nothing unnecessary thrown in the mix.The US government became suspicious of Afghanis who wore Casio watches due to their ability to be used as timers for improvised explosive devices, a tactic favored by al-Qaeda. [11] [12]

The upper left button, labeled "Light", turns on the light, cancels the alarm, resets the stopwatch or marks the split (lap) time, and is used for selecting settings. Combatant status review board for Mohammed Ahmad Said el Edah". The New York Times. October 6, 2004. Both watches have the Casio module 593 and all, I mean ALL, of the functions are the same. So you get a 1/100 stopwatch (max count at 59:59.99) with split time function, single daily alarm, hourly alert and a green LED for illumination. It’s really comfortable on the wrist, and the strap is even softer and more supple than the strap on the F-91W. I’ve never really had an issue with the rubber catching hair or getting too uncomfortable. What I Don’t Like If you thought the F-91W was as retro '80s as it got with Casio digitals (which it never was since it was intoduced as a 1991 model), you were wrong. The F-84W is the king of the hill. The only thing more retro is a late 1970s era Casiotron model!

If anyone knows any other picture of the model F-91 W Japan U, it would be happy and public in this thread. This association was highlighted in the Denbeaux study, and may have been used in some cases at Guantanamo Bay. [19] An article published in The Washington Post in 1996 reported that Abdul Hakim Murad, Wali Khan Amin Shah, and Ramzi Ahmed Yousef had developed techniques to use commonly available Casio digital watches to detonate time bombs. [20] Casio watches were mentioned almost 150 times in prisoner assessments from Guantanamo. [21]Lastly, is the F-84W better than the F-91W? No. As said above, they're functionally identical. Both watches have the same quality to them. The reason to buy the F-84W is for the mid-80s styling and the fact it's slightly smaller, thinner and lighter.

P. D Little by little I will be adding more information and more curiosities of this module 593 Japanese of the F-91 W. Greetings. The F-84W is functionally identical to the F-91W in every way. If you know the F-91W, you already know the F-84W. The thin grooves on both the dial and strap are also very old school. Even the slightly different case shape of the F-84W makes it feel more retro than the F-91W. Yes, yes and yes! I totally agree with your points as well – especially on the F91W’s keeper having a mind of its own. And I’m glad someone appreciates crass chest hair jokes/references! XD USA v. al Qahtani" (PDF).
