When the One Ring, the weapon of Sauron, was reported to have been found, Legolas was sent to Rivendell as one of the representatives of the Elves at the Council of Elrond. He, along with eight other members of the Council, joined what would be known as The Fellowship of the Ring to protect and aid Frodo on his quest to take the ring to the one place it could be destroyed: the volcano Mount Doom, the birthplace of the ring located in the heart of Sauron's realms, Mordor Legolas was the son of Thranduil, King of the Woodland Realm of Northern Mirkwood, [T 1] who appeared as "the Elvenking" in The Hobbit. [T 2] Thranduil, one of the Sindar or "Grey Elves", [T 3] ruled over the Silvan Elves or "Wood-elves" of Mirkwood. After the destruction of the One Ring, Legolas remained in Minas Tirith for Aragorn's coronation and marriage to Arwen. Later, Legolas and Gimli travelled together through Fangorn forest and to the Glittering Caves of Aglarond, as Legolas had promised Gimli. [T 18] Eventually [T 17] Legolas brought south many Silvan Elves, and they dwelt in Ithilien, and it became once again the "fairest country in all the westlands." [T 19] They stayed in Ithilien for "a hundred years of Men." [T 17] After Aragorn dies, Legolas built a small ship and sailed West, reportedly taking Gimli with him. [T 19] Concept and creation [ edit ] Tolkien 1980, "The History of Galadriel and Celeborn", "Appendix B: The Sindarin Princes of the Silvan Elves" In The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ringvideo game, Legolas is voiced by Michael Reisz but he's not a playable character. In its sequels The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (video game) and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (video game), he is voiced by Orlando Bloom also in this game he is a playable character that can be used in the campaign missions.

Aragorn

Both minifigures are equipped with Boromir's shield, displaying the same pattern. Here, the new design is more detailed than the older one, partly because the smooth shield allows more space for printing. The golden ring around the boss is particularly appealing and accurate to the films. The set measures over 15 in. (39 cm) high, 29.5 in. (75 cm) wide and 19.5 in. (50 cm) deep and splits into 3 sections: the tower, the council ring and the gazebo with river and bridge Tolkien, J. R. R. (1954a). The Fellowship of the Ring. The Lord of the Rings. Boston: Houghton Mifflin. OCLC 9552942. Gimli quarreled with him in Moria (which was not unexpected considering the ancient quarrel between Elves and Dwarves) - Legolas' father Thranduil had once imprisoned Gimli's father, Glóin. [5]

PurpleDave Using a Sharpie to recolour LEGO is very much a case of the lesser of two evils. While I will just about consider it for elf ears and a bit of decolletage, larger areas are more than I feel comfortable with.Tolkien, J. R. R. (1954). The Two Towers. The Lord of the Rings. Boston: Houghton Mifflin. OCLC 1042159111. In the Battle of the Hornburg, Legolas and Gimli engaged in an Orc-slaying contest [10] that Gimli won (the score being 42 to 43, respectively), though Legolas was not jealous, stating, "You have passed my score by one but I do not grudge you the game, so glad am I to see you on your legs." [11] Legolas Greenleaf, long under tree, In joy thou hast lived. Beware of the Sea! If thou hearest the cry of the gull on the shore, Thy heart shall then rest in the forest no more.
